2012 Pacificon Day 1 of 1 New Media

Forum is packed and meet with Chris, N7ICE, Randy, K7AGE, and Gordo, WB6NOA after their discussion about new media and ham radio. My take away is our hobby is outreaching to the next generation using platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Google Plus, and Facebook. I was surprised at the number of people in attendance and it probably speaks to the number of ham radio operators adopting social media channels. Attendance two, three, or even five years ago would have been very different. We agreed this is only the beginning for ham radio and its social media outreach.
