My #hamr Weekend Update

Good morning from the shackadelic zone where Cycle 24 is all the buzz in the Five Cities. The crew continues notching new DXCC entities, 5BDXCC are ticking upward, abandoned 20m for the wide open frequency range of 10, 12, 15, and 17 meters. Likewise, we are waking up an hour or so before sunrise with cups of coffee near by while spinning our dials in search of distant lands.

Cycle 24 numbers are the best thing going numbers wise especially the current solar flux indice at 164 with current sunspot count at one hundred and sixty four. The A- and K-index suggest good listening conditions for all of high frequency hamdom. It's difficult to tear one's self away from the wireless set when computer logs are filling up with choice DX contacts.

I'm hearing swarms of Morse code signals in addition most stateside signals are radiating out of the south with an excellent westward path toward JA and the South Pacific. I'm hearing a few stations located in North America. I logged TX7M on 15m and the TS850S is scanning 10m for the team's signal this morning.

Stay thirsty for DX my friends!
