My 2010 CQ World Wide DX Weekend

I'm finishing my weekend on the couch with Radio Dawg laying next to
me while our Pacific weekend mellows into Sunday evening. I enjoyed
several hours of searching and logging stations strewn across multiple
time zones. Propagation was not epic just enough that 10m opened into
South America. I notched one entity off the DXCC list and will tally
my 10m results later this week.

My less than optimal antenna system denied me another year of logging
European and African stations on the high bands. I'm patiently waiting
for Cycle 24 to get aggro and pump Earth's ionosphere. Likewise, when
the group of the group of sunspots make themselves available, please
let it happen over a weekend instead of a work week.

I enjoyed a stellar Thanksgiving dinner as our turkey was oven roasted
and our mashed potatoes were delicious. The calorie total was off the
scale resulting in a deep slumber until that mid-40s thing took over
after two in the morning. I purchased another set of reading glasses
as well because I became tired of extra trips into the shackadelic.
There is a new battery in my Ford SUV as the 10 year old battery
finally gave up the juice.

My footnote to General Motors is take good care of that second chance
because like life as an individual there are a finite number of
chances. Dig.

My RadioSport weekend seemed northern hemispheric for the most part
with ZL8X as my stand out. There is the Stew Perry Distance Challenge
on the horizon. Wishing everyone a peaceful holiday season.
