This weekend a change in plans allowed some operating time on the
unpredictable band. Ten meters is fun even though the band can be
frustrating at times. I enjoyed a sporadic-e opening into Arizona just
last night. Everyone was loud for an hour or so then faded into
silence. I heard South America this afternoon however the east coast
ruled the path.
We're getting ready for a comfort food dinner with pork chops and
mashed potatoes. I'll be in that zone somewhere between falling a
sleep or immobilized on the couch with Radio Dawg at my side. She
likes to jog with me as well and there is no harshing her mellow in
the evening after our run near the ocean.
I'll fire up the wireless set tomorrow morning with a cup of Bishop
Peak coffee at hand and spin the dial pursuing one more grid square,
one more county, and one more DXCC counter. Ten meters is the magical,
RadioSport rocks the world.
