Congratulation's Manny, NP2KW for taking Low Power RadioSport to the next level of innovation. You're an example for those striving to improve their stations using 21st Century technology. In the spirit of RadioSport, a job well done to each operator who finished Top Three 3830 Claimed Score before log adjudication.

Please note "category of opportunity" for Low Power RadioSport; Multi-Single USA and International present significant opportunity. I did not observe an entry for low power in the United States and the competitive field is wide open at the international level, respectively.

An enterprising operator could lead a Multi-Single team whose operation encompasses a city lot using portable antenna systems or fixed. Guts, glory, and Morse code!

P.S. I'm listening to Jose, CT1BOH rockin' P40E back in 2003 on mp3 while finishing up this post.

Congratulations to those who committed significant butt-in-the-chair time and finished Top Three before log adjudication. A job well done goes out to N7AT who scored 3 million points running low power. Big scores are possible and the team at N7AT is leading the way.

This one jumps off the page and continues propagating a kilowatt worth of conversation. Our Top Three SOAB scores are from the east coast and I have to say for CQ World Wide DX, "It is the East Coast with the most."

Location is second to antenna systems.

Shout out to Dave, K2DBK for his Top Ten finish in the SOAB (Assisted) claimed scores bracket. I watched on Get Scores through the event and an accomplishment well done indeed. Likewise, to Phil, KL8DX whom I also chat with on Twitter for his excellent signal into the shackadelic on the beach.

Pour on the CQ!

2009 CQ World Wide DX v.CW Raw Results

As mentioned in my 3830 Claimed Scores posting, "One of the finest RadioSport events in my logbook."

Low power, low profile is a RadioSport lifestyle and 20-hours of hacking ionosphere, at least for me, is ham radio fun. I achieved my goal this weekend and gutted out 20-hours of butt-in-the chair time. It was personal. I competed against my goals and telnet swarms while taking my operating technique to a new level.

My vertical antenna performed beyond expectation. I worked zone(s) 1, 3 through 13, in addition to 19, 25, 29, 31, and 32 running between 45 (low band) and 55-watts (high band) this weekend. The 88-foot center fed doublet held its own on forty meters scoring Zone 19 Asiatic Russia during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Raw Results.

80 | 0 | 0
40 | 24 Qs | 13 Zones | 12 Countries.
20 | 32 Qs | 14 Zones | 15 Countries.

10 | 0 | 0
Total = 66 Qs | 33 Zones | 34 Countries.
Total Score = 10,586 Points.
Operating Time = 20 Hours.

I'll follow up an after action report this weekend and thank you Team KH6LC for your video streaming this weekend. I watched the team operate through the hours and who was the one wearing that bright orange tee shirt? He is shaka and nice plug for the Northern California Contest Club!
