Morro Bay, California | Fish, Chips, & Taffy

Embarcadero Grill | Wood BBQ 801 Embarcadero Morro Bay, California

Refreshments after a cozy day exploring Morro Bay's eclectic beach community.

Who is that guy with a camera and I replied, "Blogger. Blogger."

Soaking in a tremendous sunny day with Morro Rock in the background.

She is three piece and I'm four piece. Fantabulous fish. Best batter yet!

Carousel Taffy 845 Embarcadero Morro Bay, California.

Sassy taffy for the bold and daring.

Best fish-n-chips on the central coast of California? Embarcadero Grill in Morro Bay. The fish batter was crispy, just enough pepper, crunchy, and a delight for one's palette. I enjoyed their simplified service that is, order at the entrance then pick up one's own meal at the take-out window. Wait time for our meal? Embarcadero Grill almost touched the speed of Internet. Our food was toasty. And, if one is a Ranch fan like myself, a giant bottle of sauce sits next to the take-out window.

Taffy and beach community are inseparable and Carousel Taffy scored both in taste and ambiance. I was a kid in the candy store with 10s of different flavors. Pinks, orange, yellows, twisty, and swirly greeted my vision. And the service was personable. Someone who shares a cup a coffee and conversation.

If one is own the way between Los Angeles or San Francisco then take a detour and visit Morro Bay. Especially Embarcadero Grill (link) for a lunch of fish-n-chips and what makes everyone happy with taffy from Carousel Taffy (link).

I want to believe again. And once upon a time a nation had a dream. This dream inspired our planet.

Smart men and women engineered an ambitious project using slide rules and graph paper. They dreamed. They believed. And they won. Intense people? Yes. Focused people? Yes. A nation with a mission? Absolutely.

Forty years since then we engineered a digital world with computers those engineers wished for. We built upon the shoulders of those giants who dared, dared to challenge our universe and themselves. They feared nothing driven only by a single vision. That vision never went away. It quietly burned in the hearts and souls of millions who look to the night sky each evening.

We look to the moon and imagine a living, breathing colony of human beings. We see Mars with our naked eye wondering if humankind will take a giant leap.

We are at the brink of a new dream. One that can inspire our planet. Our place in history calls us out. Never have the challenges seemed insurmountable. Never has the light dimmed so much. Yet, all the tools that can take us there are available, an unprecedented position in history. The time to think great is here and now.

I'm believing again. I have found something that speaks to a future of great possibility. My choice is not to wallow in the frustrations and failures of now. I'm changing my attitudinal position and focusing on a greater endeavor. The challenge is before me and I could not see the forest through the trees until now.

My Radio Frequency (RF) Ground

Figure One. Copper tubing is 1-foot, 3-inches, small hose clamps, and two 1/2-inch insulated clamps.

Figure Two. Removed enamel using an Alltrade rotary tool with grinder.

Figure Three. Secured 3-foot lengths of braided wire using hose clamps.

Figure Four. Complete RF ground leading to nearby cold water pipe using braided wire.

This project consumed two hours of time this afternoon. The insulated 1/2-inch clamps are secured to an inset piece of wood on the shackadelic desk. I removed enamel for an improved bonding between braided wire and copper tubing. Its installation is rudimentary and estimated cost is twenty dollars. Next on the condo contest station go-do list is Project 3BTV.
