No statements from the contest committees are baffling in the extreme. I believe, the matters discussed in your comment, are serious with a long range impact on RadioSport. What is to be done about the latest software advances like CW Skimmer, short cutting the exchange, cut numbers, or packet abuse?

The latest salvo during CQ WPX SSB suggests the current framework of rules are decaying. Subsequently, I'm reading nothing from the sponsors and left to wonder about the future direction of contesting.

On the other hand, I can sit here and armchair quarterback, or get into action. My goal is to volunteer on some type of contest committee and an email will go out this weekend. I want to back up my concerns with proactive involvement at any level.
